Naval Historical Foundation Fleet Admiral Leadership Seminar

 What: Two component program to look at early career experiences of the Navy’s four Fleet Admirals.

 Why: Recognition of 75th Anniversary of creation of the Fleet Admiral Rank and serve as academic lead-in to Naval Historical Foundation 5 Star Mess Night to occur following Saturday.

When: 0830-1200 Weds May 16

Where: Navy Museum Cold War Gallery, WNY

First Component Presentations: (90 minutes) Four top naval historians will discuss early episodes of the careers of the four Fleet Admirals: Dr. Scott Mobley (U.S. Naval Academy)– FADM Leahy; Dr. David Kohnen (Naval War College)– FADM King; Author Jim Hornfischer – FADM Nimitz; and Dr. Thomas Hughes (Air University)– FADM Halsey.

Second Component Roundtable: Moderated by Dr. David Rosenberg to include presenters as well as senior leaders who can reflect on presentations and comment how experience shapes worldviews and leadership philosophy. USNA Supt. VADM Ted Carter and NHHC Director RADM Sam Cox have accepted invites.
