On Thursday Jan 18th, the Committee for the Republic will present Congressman Jim McGovern the Defender of Liberty Award for his unwavering devotion to the Constitution and the Declare War Clause. At 6:30 pm there will be a presentation ­­of the play Republic for Which We Stand. Congressman Jim McGovern will then give remarks on his legislative efforts to end our nine ongoing presidential wars, and participate in a question and answer session.

This event is open to the public. Registration is suggested but not required.
